I had the opportunity to see, try, use and observe new technological devices, how they work, how we can benefit from them and for what purposes we can utilize them. As a part of our 'Technology Integration in English as a Foreign Language' Lesson, we are invited to the Department of Open and Distance Education in Istanbul University- Cerrahpaşa. During our visit, we had a new experience by trying virtual reality headsets and testing the applications produced in the department for the use of students of other fields on behalf of reducing the risks in their field practices. We were also able to observe many other facilities within the department such as an eye-tracking computer, a light board and the GreenBox Studio.
It was such a great honor to see that our professors and our department invest in future technologies by going beyond what is conventional.
